Build
anything.
Describe the thing you want. Tinkerly designs it and shows it working, then we make it and ship it to you.
Or start from one of these:
- Light
- green
- Buzzer
- quiet
- Screen
- 140 cm
The rules this project runs
- Light =
in.distance < 30 ? "red" : in.distance < 80 ? "amber" : "green" - Buzzer =
in.distance < 30 ? "constant tone" : in.distance < 80 ? "beep every " + fixed(map(in.distance, 30, 80, 0.15, 0.8), 2) + " s" : "quiet" - Screen =
in.distance < 30 ? "STOP" : str(round(in.distance)) + " cm"
A behavior simulation shows what the project should do. It does not run the code on the board; that part gets checked when you build it.
From a sentence to a thing you can hold
One project, start to finish. You write what you want in your own words. You get a design you can play with, check and change. When it is right, we make the real thing and send it to you.
Step 1: Describe it
Say what it should do, like you would to a friend who builds things.
A parking sensor for my garage so I stop bumping the wall. Lights and a beep.
Here is a wall-mounted sensor that measures the gap to your bumper. Green while there is room, amber and beeping as you get close, red with a steady tone at 30 cm.
- Picked 9 parts (done)
- Placed and wired them (done)
- Wrote how it behaves (done)
- Ran 14 checks (done)13 passed, 1 note about mounting height
Step 2: See it work
Turn it, take it apart, run it. Every wire is labelled and every part says why it is there.
Wiring
- 5V to Sensor VCCPower
- GND to Sensor GNDGround
- D7 to Sensor TRIGSignal
- D8 to Sensor ECHOSignal
- A4 to Screen SDAData bus
- A5 to Screen SCLData bus
- D3 to Buzzer +Tone
Step 3: We make it
We build it from this exact version, test it, and ship it to you working.

- 7 to 14 days
Then we make it for you
No bag of loose parts, no shopping list. When the design is right, we build the real thing and send it to your door.
Pick a finish
Built for you arrives working. Ready to assemble arrives pre-made and pre-wired, and you put the big pieces together. Neither needs soldering or code.

We source, make and test it
A person builds it from your exact design version and checks it does what the simulation showed.
Big or unusual? We quote it
Anything too large for a parcel, anything that needs an expert's review, or anything over $1,500 gets a price from a person within 2 days. You pay nothing until you accept it.

Example estimate for one project. Your project's price is worked out the same way from its own parts and size. Instant orders ship to US addresses.
Designing starts free. Making is priced per order.
A new design uses 2 credits and each change uses 1. Asking why a part is there is always free. Orders are paid one at a time on any plan.

We check the wiring with rules, not vibes
AI is good at ideas and bad at arithmetic. So the design comes from a model, and the checking comes from plain rules about electricity and materials. Every project shows exactly how far it has been proven.
Generated
The AI drafted the parts, wiring and behavior. Nothing has been checked yet, and the project says so.
Checks passed
Our rule engine went over every connection: voltages match, each LED has a resistor, nothing draws more power than its supply can give. The same rules run every time, and no AI is involved.
Works in simulation
You ran the behavior simulation and watched it do what you asked. It models the logic, not the physics, and it does not run the code on the board.
Reviewed by a person
Someone who builds this kind of thing read it over. Anything with mains power, big batteries, heat or fast-moving parts always goes to review.
Built by someone
A real person built it and confirmed it works. The strongest signal there is.
- Passed: Every LED has a resistor3 of 3, 220 ohm each
- Passed: Power fits the supply86 mA used of 500 mA from USB
- Passed: Sensor and board agree on voltageboth 5 V
- Passed: No two parts share a screen addressscreen at 0x3C, alone on its bus
- Note: Mount the sensor at bumper height50 to 70 cm off the floor, or it can miss low cars
Never a bare green tick: every line says what was checked and the number behind it.
Questions people ask first
Still wondering how it works? Email hello@tinkerly.dev and a person will answer.
Do I have to build it myself?
No. Choose Built for you and we make it, test it and ship it working. Take it out of the box and use it.
If you would rather put it together, choose Ready to assemble. Every piece arrives made, wired, programmed and labelled, and you join the big pieces with the included guide. There is no soldering and no code either way.
What can you make?
Most physical things a small workshop can make: gadgets with sensors and screens, remote-control vehicles, cameras that recognise things, lamps, furniture, garden and pool equipment, props. Some have electronics and code, many have none. If a design needs an expert to look at it first, like anything powered from the wall, we review it before we quote.
Is the simulation exact?
No, and we will not pretend it is. The behavior simulation runs the project's logic, so you can see what happens when the soil gets dry or a button is pressed. It does not model physics like water pressure or motor heat, and it does not run the actual code on the board.
The wiring checks are separate and rule based, and every project shows exactly which checks it has passed. When we make it, we test the real thing before it ships.
What does it cost to have it made?
The parts at list price, plus our time to make it, plus shipping by size. Built for you is $45 an hour of build time and arrives in 7 to 14 days. Ready to assemble is $30 an hour for less of our time and arrives in 5 to 10 days.
You see every line before you pay, and you do not need a paid plan to order. See how prices are worked out.
What if it's huge, like a pool cover?
Then a person prices it. Anything too big for a parcel, anything that needs an expert's review, or anything over $1,500 becomes a quote request. We reply within 2 days with a price and a delivery plan, and you pay nothing unless you accept it.
Can I use my own AI key?
Yes. Add an OpenAI or Anthropic key in settings and your design requests run on it without using Tinkerly credits. The key is encrypted before it is stored and only ever used on our servers, never in your browser. Requests on your own key are limited to 60 an hour on Free and 600 an hour on Pro.
Who owns my design?
You do. What you design is yours to change, share and have made. Public projects can be viewed and remixed by others, private projects are visible only to you, and you can export any project as a file whenever you like.
Where do you ship?
Instant orders ship to addresses in the United States. Somewhere else? Email hello@tinkerly.dev and we will tell you whether we can get it to you and what it would cost.
